Full details of the MEGA GLADIATOR ADVENTURE RACE JUNE 30TH 2012

Mark this date down in your diary…. Saturday 30th June 2012. It will be the BIGGEST day ever seen in North Cork ! A huge Gladiator Adventure Race through scenic Glanworth, a parade through Fermoy with celebrities like Alex Reid, ‘Ice’ and ‘Destroyer’ from the hit TV show ‘Gladiators’, Ireland’s Strongest Man James Fennelly and the legendary  Valdas Valdemaras, plus  an after-party to beat all after-parties at the Corrin Mart with acts like The Rubber Bandits, The Roaring Forties, and  KC from TodayFM.

The course will be dotted with challenges like hay bales, horse fences, bouncy castles, climbing over cars, spear throwing and the chance to take on James Fennelly, Alex Reid or Valdas Valdemaras !  If you are able to walk 10km, you WILL be able for this. You can raise money for charity, come along with a group of friends for the laugh, or set yourself a personal goal to just finish. It’s up to you, it’s YOUR day!

Competitors set out from Glanworth on the Adventure Run from 10am. All entrants will be timed and tagged, and your results recorded. After 9km on the roads around Glanworth (the roads will be closed off for you), the event comes to its climax at theK2NY centre.

This year the bar will be raised even higher at our Summer Camps, with an even greater variety of activities and events. As well as our obstacle course, tag rugby, fun’n’games, and volleyball, we now offer the brilliant body zorbing and hill zorbing, which has proved to be increasingly popular with children and teens.

k2ny Summer Camps strive to make sure that every child gets an extra special experience….and has fun! Your child will receive personalised attention (the maximum group size is 24 children),  be given a unique opportunity to help develop their social skills, and learn about the importance of healthy, delicious food- all in the context of a fun packed week and memorable week.

We are very excited to announce that Cork star footballer Donncha O’Connor will be on hand for our special skills programme. No doubt Donncha will prove to be a major hit with the kids!

The k2ny Summer Camp caters for two age groups- 7-11, and 12-15 years. The fun kicks off on 27th June and follows a programme of 7 weekly camps. Avoid disappointment by booking today- just €75 per child plus special rates when booking in more than one child!!
